Our first softball game of the season was tonight. We played a moving company and got beat pretty soundly in both games by a team from a moving company, so you know they could hit. Was neat playing under the lights and in the rain.. good times.

I think we are still just getting our legs under us with the whole playing as a team thing.. so i think we’re gonna improve.. We really have no place to go but up.

There were some fine defensive plays made, Steve Hill and Arthur both had some great catches. JManzano continues to be a brick wall at ShortStop.. New comer Kevin aka “Carolina” showed why he almost went pro with some steller work to score a few outs at first base, and not to mention his catch off the bar in dead center. Dan B HMS had some base running errors but did well over all. Fielding skills will improve with time.. I’m sure of it

Our hitting left a little to be desired and we’ll need to pick that up, and our pitching needs some work. I closed the game out when went to 1 pitch and didnt do too bad. But I think I’d do alot worse if it was regular. Hopefully art will be at the next game and can pitch or at least give us some pointers.
